Art In The Park 2017/2018: Art For Space Gallery

In its 12th year, Art in the Park gathers 59 galleries, independent art spaces, and student groups for its annual event in benefit of the Museum Foundation of the Philippines (MFPI). Held on April 15, Sunday, at the Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village, Makati City, fairgoers can expect a wide variety of galleries and spaces to take their picks at. For a day, this park is transformed into a bustling affair, with different booths both serving you to admire art and to purchase it, as well as additional spaces for visitors to relax and socialize.

Art lovers, still pleasantly hung over from the delights of last month’s Art Fair Philippines, need not wait too long for a chance to partake of another soul-satisfying visual feast. Featuring 57 galleries, art collectives, independent art spaces, and student groups (some of them first-time participants). The fair as always promises to make available a vast and varied pick of artworks to those wishing to add to their collection, those hoping to start one, or even those for whom the mere viewing of art is pleasure enough in itself.

Invited by the Art For Space Gallery, Lucia Fischer was commissioned to make one artwork each year for the years 2017 to 2018. A large percentage of the proceeds were given to charities of the arts.
